'The Office' is getting a spinoff — more than 10 years after the NBC series ended Peacock announced the new mockumentary comedy series Wednesday. The television show "The Office" gets a spin-off more than 10 years after the NBC series wrapped up. It'll take place in the same universe with the same mocumentary crew that brought Dunder Mifflin's Scranton branch into our homes. There are new characters, though, and a new setting, a dying historic Midwestern newspaper.
